A 5 minute drive away is the quaint village of Federal, once known as Jasper. Here you will find the Federal general store & bottle shop and the Doma Japanese Cafe, run by former Oh Sushi chefs from Byron Bay, Takayuki and Takashi. There’s ample outdoor seating and a traditional Japanese doma room, which features a low-slung table and floor seating. The cafe currently operates from 7am to 3pm everyday. Jasper Corner is the collective name for the Federal Hall and Church which is available for community use, event hire, a wedding venue, exhibitions, yoga and dance classes, pop up restaurants, film and music nights. More info here
